Alocin’s Crafts started out as ‘Get Creative…’ in Harrogate.

I began running Children’s Craft Workshops in 2007, at a Play Centre in Harrogate. As my daughter turned two, many other parents didn’t like the mess that doing crafts with their children entailed. I provided all the craft supplies and cleared up any mess afterwards. The children enjoyed decorating ceramic / fabric ‘gifts’ for their relatives.

This led onto providing Children’s Craft Parties in North Yorkshire, and after moving to York, running an After School Craft Club for local children.

I changed the name to ‘Alocin’s Crafts’ after my daughter’s Alice in Wonderland themed Mad Hatter Birthday party – where a game involved us calling each other by our name backwards: NICOLA = ALOCIN!!!

Having now moved to Scholes, in Leeds, I have converted an outbuilding into a venue for Craft Workshops.

From Spring 2019 I have provided a variety of Craft Workshops: ceramic / glass painting; sketching; needle-felting; clay work; crochet and fabric painting. The Workshops are mainly aimed at adults / teenagers, but I occasionally run children’s workshops.

I now mainly run Needlefelting Workshops for Beginners – but also teach Crochet to people wanting to learn the basic Crochet stitches.

Contact me if you would like to book a private craft workshop, or contact me to book onto one of the workshops listed on my Facebook EVENTS page. A private workshop requires a minimum of 2 or 3 people and a maximum of 10. (Depending on Craft Activity)
